Our son was diagnosed with autism at the age of 31/2, and we have been working with Stacy and her team since then.
I can’t say enough about the incredible service provided by the Connect the Dots staff.  Our son received 1:1 ABA therapy when he was first diagnosed, and has now transitioned to attending a social skills program twice per week.  Stacy has always been a very strong advocate for our son, both in the daycare setting and once he started school.  She attends all school meetings, and will liaise with teachers, EAs, and school administrative staff to ensure the right supports are put in place to facilitate academic and social success.  Stacy is also readily available via phone/email to answer any questions or concerns we may have. We have seen great progress in our son’s social skills, language skills, and his overall independence in his daily living skills in the last 3 and half years.  Connect the Dots has been a tremendous support for family.

Since the day, my twin girls were born our home life was always filled with energy, chaos, high struck, craziness. I was lucky to have two healthy girls (although premature and low birth weight) we noticed right from the start that they were always behind developmentally and in immaturity compared to our friends who had children the same age. Although they always had their struggles they were well liked by their peers and always made everyone laugh with their funny personalities. However when kindergarten started we noticed that they began to struggle in ways that began to set them apart from everyone else. As all young children have tantrums and meltdowns, mine were having those more often and would go on FOREVER! As a teacher, and owner of my own private daycare, I had more experience than the average person about children’s behaviors. Nothing I tried worked, and I was at my wits end.

When my twin girls entered grade 1, we realized that enough was enough, no more excuses for their behaviour. Life was too exhausting and way too hard to continue in this way. This was NOT normal! I did some research and found some recommendations for Connect The Dots. I had a friend who had her son in the program the year before and saw amazing changes in him. We started in the summer of 2015 during “summer camp” and from that first day…our life changed. The girls began to learn what was acceptable behavior, strategies they can use when they were upset and how to socialize better with other children. Stacy, Kathy and their entire team, fell in love with my girls and we developed a fantastic relationship. My husband and I learned how our behavior was affecting the girls and what we had to do change it, and the girls learned how to manage in their everyday lives without the screaming, awful meltdowns. We cannot thank Stacy enough for her help, dedication, experience and overall care that she has for every single one of her kids in her care. Every parent who has struggled with their child’s behavior and is at a loss of what to do, should contact the “Connect the Dots” team and get their child/ren on track to a happier, brighter life.

Our son has had a lot of change in his short life and found it very difficult to deal with.
When he was in JK the school brought Stacy in to see him as he used to have intense, long melt downs.
He needed to learn how to self regulate. Stacy has been working with him for 2 ½ years and we noticed a change right away. He learned the zones of regulations which helped him and us as a family. He learned to understand his emotions and was provided the tools on how to deal them appropriately.
Stacy, Kathy and the rest of the staff at Connect the Dots are always easy to talk to and will always give you the time. They have helped work with my son through situations he has been through and provided the appropriate way to have handled it. They came up with Zoneman who is a superhero who helps kids learn the proper way to deal with a situation. We would end up hearing ourselves ask him “what would Zoneman do?” and he would answer.

We have been told by many people how they can’t believe the change in him and we owe a lot to Stacy and the staff at Connect the Dots.

Thank you Connect the Dots

“My daughter has been with Connect The Dot since she was 2 1/2 and at that point could barely speak and understand anything.  We started off with ABA therapy twice a week along with private speech and once we added Connect The Dots to her therapy, we saw Katie make leaps and bounds.  They helped her with her receptive language and even though she wasn’t on the spectrum and had no diagnosis they tailored her program to meet her needs and what a difference it has made.  Things that should have come naturally just weren’t and they were there and helped her tremendously.  Their staff is patient, firm, experienced and got the job done!  I’m an involved parent with her therapy but always found it hard to work with her at home cause i was ‘mom’ and they helped me and trained me as well so I could continue working at home with her.  Once her needs changed and we noticed she needed help socially with her peers, they were quick to switch gears and once again tailored her program to meet her social needs.  Their social classes are one of a kind and my daughter loves going to therapy. She loves the staff and doesn’t mind doing the work cause they make it fun.  I would highly recommend Connect The Dots to anyone with a child that has developmental delays.  Don’t wait, start early cause they really make a difference! “

We have been with Connect The Dots ABA program for almost a year. I really appreciate the personal attention for both myself and my daughter. We’ve seen great results in our daughter’s behavior, sensory and social aspects. She loves going to the centre and play with her friends. The staff at Connect The Dots are great and always very helpful. We are very grateful.
